Assist our Construction support services department to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications

Analyze blueprints to prepare, cost of materials

Solicit and review pricing from vendors and subcontractors as needed

Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications

Establish and maintain estimating process, set up cost monitoring, reporting systems and procedures

Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers and architects

Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors

Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, customers, vendors, and subcontractors * Produce accurate and thorough takeoffs, including pricing of work

Create project estimates and analysis of subcontractor and supplier bids

Once construction documents are released, work with Architects, Owners, and Engineers to formulate accurate and complete budgets

Prepare conceptual budgets

Solicit and maintain communication with contractors and vendors

Prepare bid package responses

Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors

Enter all relevant information into estimating software program or Microsoft Excel

Review bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up questions on every bid

Consistently follow up on submitted bids and budgets

Review blueprints and highlight areas of concern

Review job cost and highlight any areas of concern or cost overruns

Provide technical and administrative support to project operations with emphasis on estimating, reporting and monitoring progress, planning, scheduling, and dealing with project change

Check invoicing & billing from subcontractors and vendors for accuracy

Make recommendations for and implement internal process improvements

Active collaboration with sales, customer service, and financial department functions

Protect the privacy of all confidential and financial information of the company and the customers

Create an atmosphere of cooperation, enthusiasm, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and professionalism among staff members, subcontractors, vendors, and customers

Other duties as needed

Job Type: Full-time (Contractual)

Salary: $40,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year

Experience:
relevant: 1 year (Required)
estimating / construction: 1 year (Preferred)

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
